We have completed postgraduate university level qualifications and undergone additional training and supervision in the area of clinical psychology. This enables us to assess, diagnose and treat a range of mental health issues with evidence-based psychological therapies.

Headstrong Psychology is a team of fully registered Clinical Psychologists with a broad range of expertise, interests, therapeutic approaches and interpersonal styles.

We share a passion for helping people to develop the tools and techniques they need to improve their well-being and create lives of meaning, purpose, and joy.

We aim to ensure our clients feel understood and accepted by taking an approach of genuine respect, empathy, and collaboration. We are trained and experienced in treatments that are scientifically validated to ensure their efficacy.

We have experience working across a broad range of settings, including public health, forensic services, education settings, not-for-profit organizations, and private practice.

We variously hold memberships with leading professional bodies, including the Australian Psychological Society (APS), The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), and the APS College of Clinical Psychology.

Fees & Rebates

Headstrong Psychology is a private billing psychology practice. Our fees are;

Individual therapy:
$240 for a 50-minute session

Relationship therapy:
$280 for a 50-minute session
$350 for an 80-minute session

Clients with a referral from a GP for individual therapy may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year from 1 January 2024. The Medicare rebate for Clinical Psychologists is $137.05 per session and for Clinical Psychology Registrars is $93.35.

Clients with private health insurance may be eligible for a rebate with their health fund, depending on their level of cover. Rebates vary according to the fund and level of insurance.

Unfortunately, rebates are not available under Medicare or private health funds for relationship therapy.

We do not offer services under WorkCover, DVA, Victims of Crime and TAC.
